In typical Michelle fashion, its a bit bright. LOL.

My favourite niece

Here's a LO I made just cause.
I felt like doing something with paint and I thought it was about time I tried some thing more girly for a change.
Its OK I'm allowed to call her my favourite. So far she is my only niece and as far as I'm concerned shes the most beautiful little girl in the whole world.
You might be horrified to hear that that large flower was once white and I dyed it red with of all things food colouring. Well I was in a creative frenzy and had no red ink. LOL.
I'm sure its not acid free, but I try not too get hung up on that sort of thing too often.
I was really going for a more textured look for this one. Id still like to have got more texture but It looked finished to me so I thought Id better leave it alone.
OK that's my only LO share for today. Id best get off this computer and do some 'stuff'.
Its a nice breezy day today perfect for washing and drying freshly mopped floors and Ive got a few Etsy orders to fill.
I'm excited to say that I made my first few sales in my Etsy shop last night and my Mumbo Jumbo buttons were featured on the Madeit newsletter. Ive just finished loading a few new hair elastics on Etsy this morning too so If your interested you can check them out by clicking the link to my shop on the right hand side. Bye for now. TFL.

Out of the Hat November Challenge

Here's my entry for the November Out of the Hat challenge. The 3 elements this month were.....
use a die cut, which is the Kraft scallop paper behind my photo. 3 different size photos and a tree.
I made the tree myself. It was quite a bit of work, I must say. I used a punch to cut out all those little leaves. There must be hundreds of them.
I'm loving embellishment clusters ATM. and I have found some great shops on Etsy. I'm trying hard to resist the urge to buy more embellies. Its a daily struggle. LOL.
Any way that's really about it for now. I may have another LO of my favourite niece to share later. TFL.

Branching out.

Here is just a really small sample of the new hair elastics soon to be uploaded in my Etsy store HERE.
Ill upload most early next week. And Ill be adding new designs all the time.
Lil' Red Rocket hair elastics are all made with 'snag free' elastics and are securely attached to the buttons with out the need for any glue.
These little elastics will make a great stocking filler or a cute little gift for girls of all ages.
You wont find anything like these in the shops.
They will retail at $4.00 a set. I think that's a steal.
I can even make these with black or perhaps brown elastics if preferred. TFL.

Jedd and Ted.

Last month on SCRAPS OF US there was a competition to design a sketch and then the winning sketch would be given to the Design Team to create a LO with.
The winner was LG Belarmino and she created a great sketch. Its really interesting to see how each person interprets a sketch and each DT members LO is quite different to the next.
I can never stick 100% to a sketch I like to have a look at it and then work from the picture in my head and just kinda let it happen.
Any way here is my take. If you'd like to see the sketch and the other DT girls LO you can find them HERE on the SOU blog. TFL.

Sketch 15 on Scrap Your Heart Out.

Hello everyone. Here's my latest LO for the 'Scrap Your Heart Out' Challenge Group over on 'The Boxx'.
It was my turn to pick this weeks sketch because I won the challenge for week 13.
I chose a Becky Fleck sketch and here is my interpretation.
How cute is that little camera charm! I just love it. I purchased it from HERE My 2 Angels.
If you like using charms on your LOs I recommend you stop by and have a look . My 2 Angels have a fantastic range and lots of other great scrapbook products too.
OK that's all for now. Ill be back later with some more things to share. TFL.

A few new buttons.

I just wanted to share a sneak peek of some of my new buttons before I load them in my Etsy shop.
There will be yellow frogs and some brown squirrels coming soon too. The squirrels go really well with the new 'Nutmeg' pps by Cosmo cricket.
I just couldn't resist sharing these. I think they are so cute.
Now that Ive built my stock up a bit more I'm going to finally host my give away soon, so stay posted if you want to be in the draw to win some of my embellies.
These buttons will be available for purchase in the shop by the end of the week.
I'm also going to offer something extra at no charge for the first 5 customers to purchase something from my new shop.
If you are interested in having a look at the other buttons I stock just click on the picture on the right hand side.
I'm still new at this and the shop is pretty small but I have plans for some more embellishments and maybe some packs with different co-ordinating embellies. TFL.

Christmas is just around the corner

Chloes challenge this month on SOU was to design a Christmas card and use a stamped image on it.
I am the SLACKEST when it comes to getting my Christmas cards done. This was a great incentive for me to get started though. Well at least Ive got one done.
We are taking the boys to visit Santa or 'Ho Ho' as Tys calls him this weekend. lol. So Id will have some photos to post off with my cards and some photos to scrap.
I'm pretty sure that Jedd will not be overly impressed with the thought of sitting on Santa's lap but some times they make for the funniest photos. Tee hee.
I'm half way through a LO for this months 'Out of the Hat' challenge and Ive been working on it for about a week now. I just cant seem to make it work but I'm determinded to get it finished. All most there so Ill have that to share soon.
In other scrapping news, it was my turn to pick the sketch for the 'Scrap Your Heart Out' challenge on 'The Boxx' this week so now I just have to complete my LO for it.
I still have those other LO rattling around in my head that I want to get down on paper too and a couple of other challenges I want to participate in this month. WOW Im exhausted just typing about it all. LOL. TFL

Too Cute.

This is a LO I completed for 'Scrap your heart out', sketch 13 over on 'The Boxx'
Ive been AWOL lately and I thought it was about time I joined in again. I loved Melissa choice of sketch this week. Id always wanted to try something like this with all the strips as a background.
I'm not overly happy with how it turned out though. I like the colours but I'm not happy with the placement of everything.
It just seems a little lop sided to me any way. Here it is.
I was a bit cranky this morning because the little cherub pictured above broke my trimmer. GRRRR! I couldn't possibly do with out a trimmer I mean I could do it the old fashioned way with a craft knife and a ruler but wheres the fun in that. So I went out today and bought myself a new trimmer. Wow I didn't realise what a dinosaur my old one was. LOL.
Loving the new one its a bright pink Cutterpeade. I'm feeling very spoilt now and cant wait to try it out.
To be honest I don't think the old one cut 100% straight anyway. Well that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
I'm on a mission to make some Christmas cards next week and theres a few LOs rattling around in my little head and a few I want to get done on Scraps Of Us. So hopefully Ill have more to post soon.
Hope you are having a great weekend. TFL.

Pure Joy.

I think the title says it all because that's what my baby boy means to me. He is Pure Joy.
I had the urge to scrap a page yesterday. As always I had to wait for the munchkins to go to bed and I couldn't start until Packed to the Rafters was over. That would never do! LOL.
So I'm feeling a little tired today as it was a late night for me but here's what I came up with.
Ive used some 'Sweet Vintage' embellies on this one. How cute is that little blue bird button and I'm loving Jodies 'Sweet Vintage' doilies at the moment they are so cheery and bright. TFL.
