As you can see from above its almost sale time again. We have SOOOO much new stuff up for grabs at our next sale but as always stock is limited so you will need to be quick.

WE WANT YOU TO JOIN OUR DESIGN TEAM!!

If you would like to join our design team please follow these instructions below to complete your application.
Unfortunately due to postage prices I can only except applicants from Australia.

This design team call is open to scrapbookers, card markers and mixed media artists.
All applicants must have a blog and be able to commit to a 6 month term.
You will be required to post 1-2 pages a month on the Lil' Red Rocket blog and also post about and plug LRR on your blog and Facebook when ever possible.
Other requirements may include completing a sketch challenge from time to time.
The successful applicant will receive enough free product to complete all projects required for their term plus extra and team discount on any purchases.
All you need to do is send us an email to lilredrocket@live.com.au with a link to your blog and tell us a little about yourself and your style.
Please include links to your 2 favourite projects on your blog.

Applications close midnight 23rd January. The new DT member will be announced on the LRR blog and on Facebook at the end of January and will start in February.

Hi All. Long time no see. Im finally back on the scrap wagon after an unwelcome break and although its kinda hard to get back in the swing its good to be creating again.

This lil' Layout is for HANDMADE BY SUZANNE using the beautiful Farm House range by Crate Paper.

Also included in my pack was the awesome paper roses by Kaiser Crafts.

SKETCH TIME!!!

To celebrate my other baby's birthday LIL'RED ROCKET that is, we are hosting a sketch challenge for the month of October.
This month I decided to join in for a change and so here is my example.

Ive used one of my all time favourite LRR buttons here, a red apple button you may also notice one of our new vintage tags, designed by yours truly and....

one of my other favourites a red gingham button.

I have distressed them both with a little brown ink on the edges to give them that worn/aged look.

Here is the sketch. We would love to see your entries with a fabulous Lil' Red Rocket prize pack full of our new release buttons for the winner and rainbow button packs to be won by our 2 runners up.

You don't need to use Lil' Red Rocket products in your entry but you will need to post your entry on your blog and link your post back to the Mr Linky Link in the LRR side bar.

I was sent October Afternoons new range 'Boarding Pass' in my DT kit from
HANDEMADE BY SUZANNE this month (thanks Suzanne).

My mojos been a bit missing of late but once I started working with this beautiful range it didn't take me long to find it again. I say this every time OA release a new range but, this is my FAVOURITE!!!

As you can see you dont need to use holiday photos with this range as travel comes in many forms.

Now for a few close ups......

and the OA Chip and Sticks are so gorgeous and heaps of fun to layer to give some extra dimension!

Im back with more from The Magic of Oz. I was pleasantly surprised how easy these papers were to use but, I have to admit that at first I was a little scared.
The colours and the illustrations are just so lovely and everything ties in so well together. I think maybe that is half the battle.

I did however have to put my thinking cap on to find some photos that I thought went with the whole Wizard of Oz theme so, yes Im sorry for the corny title but its the best I could do LOL.

Yep Ive been MIA again. Things have been pretty crazy, We have moved back to good ol' SA and after staying with my folks for about 7 weeks now we are finally back in our own place.
Ive got LOTS of catching up to do here but for now Ill just share this latest page.....
I was sent Graphic 45s new range The Magic of Oz in my DT pack from HANDMADE BY SUZANNE this month and I hope Ive done it justice because these papers are beautiful!
The colours are so rich and the illustrations are gorgeous.
Suzanne also sent me the Love Notes Collection by Prima and that stunning tree by Dusty Attic.
Ill have more LOs to share made with this range over the coming days so I hope you'll pop back for a look soon but for now Ill just leave you with a close up of some of the details.

Yep Ive been AWOL lots going on. Good and bad. Sorry for the absence. I do however have a few things to show you. Not because Ive been busy creating but because Ive been a slack blogger so, here goes.
These first 2 LOs are for HANDMADE BY SUZANNE using my awesome DT kit this month. I was luck enough to get Yacht club by Websters. I m sorry that the pictures dont do these papers justice but I LOVE this range. My favourite by Websters so far.
Ill have more to show from this range soon.

I signed up for Christy Tomlinsons SHE ART workshop and its so much fun. Im really enjoying getting messy with paint and canvases again. Its been a while and I didn't realise how much I missed it.

This is my second attempt. Not really happy with how it turned out but it did help me learn what I dont like and how to do it differently next time so its all good.

This is my first She Art girl. The quote says alot about how Im feeling and our families current situation so it was really therapeutic. Cant wait to start number 3.

Hi all. Hows your Easter break been? Mine has been fantastic. Lots of time with family, waaay too much chocolate and just enough time to scrap.

So I thought that today I would share with you some LOs for THE POLKADOT PLACE using the latest kit Bliss Terrace.

This kit is super fun and funky and the colours are devine. Ive had so much fun with this kit and I think its my favourite so far. Bridge has just recently reduced the price of her kits and they are awesome value $45.00 including postage.

Mmmmmmm Sass Foldies. Love em! and Crate my all time fav. This kit is super gorgeous and Im having so much fun working with it.

Well I am and these 2 cheeky faces prove it.

Ive been a bit distracted lately with all the Lil Red Rocket goings on and I was really looking forward to getting back to my beautiful kit from HANDMADE BY SUZANNE.

I luuurve this range Portrait by Crate, just gorge!!

Layered Chipboard stickers! My fav embellishment at the moment other than LRR stuff of course lol.

Lastly gorgeous Prima flowers all available from HANDMADE BY SUZANNE.

so this was my take on the sketch I designed for this month.

I decided to trade the star for a butterfly because I thought it fit better with my papers.

One more LO for MY CREATIVE SCRAPBOOK using this months beautiful main kit.

Hey I know Ive scrapped this photo about a billion times and you may wonder why it is that I do that well apart from the fact that at times the boys can be a little un co operative when it comes to photo shoots and the fact that my printer is low on ink, its also because Im putting together albums for other family members too along with special individual ones for the boys to keep. So there you go, I never feel guilty for scrapping the same photos over and over again.

Speaking of photos, check out this one I snapped of Master Tys on the weekend I just love the look on

his face. TOO CUTE!! TFL.

Ive been having fun playing with this months beautiful kit from MY CREATIVE SCRAPBOOK featuring the gorgeous Gabrielle line by Bo Bunny.

There are so many amazing things in this kit and as you can see the papers lend them selves quite easily to both boy and girl LOs.

I have another LO which I will share after the 15th and also a sketch which I designed for this months sketch challenge at MY CREATIVE SCRAPBOOK.

I was lucky enough to be asked to join the My creative scrapbook Design team as a sketch designer. I design sketches exclusive to My creative Scrapbook to be included in their beautiful kits and now I will also be setting a sketch challenge in the forum each month. I hope will join in.

Some times Im feel so lucky that I just have to pinch myself!!!

Oh my goodness I am so lucky! Suzanne really spoils me when she sends my DT kits.

I cant tell you how badly I wanted to get my hands on this beautiful Portrait range by Crate Paper and Im not disappointed it is DIVINE!!!

Included in my kit was also the beautiful Belina Flowers by Prima (the big white one) layered chipboard stickers and alphas by Crate and The MOST AEWSOME Tim Holts distress stains!!!

OH MY, for a compulsive edge inker like me, Im in HEAVEN!!!

I usually takes me a minimum of 3 hours to put a page together and I think that is mainly due to the fact that I am compelled to ink every piece of paper to with in an inch of its life and lets face it, it takes FOREVER!!!

Well not any more. I used my distress stains to ink my edges here and its way quicker.

No more re inking your sponge again and again because the Distress stains have a sponge applicator on the end of the bottle. HEAVEN. YAY Im hooked!

Do your self a favour and check out HANDMADE BY SUZANNE if your a member of Edge Inkers Anonymous like me. You need these stains. You will LOVE IT!!!

OK close ups. Couldn't help but break out my Prima stash to go with these GORGEOUS papers.

As always the layered chipboard shapes by Crate are beautiful and probably my fav embellishment at the moment.

April Challenges.

Its that time again. The start of a new month and a fabulous new challenge at WHITE WITH 1. This months criteria is white/olive green and twine. YUM!

I remember a stage I went through were almost every second LO I did involved olive green some where on the page. LOL.

The current CTs term is up. WOW 6 months goes fast!

Lots to share today so please bare with me its a BIG post.

First up is another LO using my March DT kit from Handmade By Suzanne.

More yummo Cosmo Cricket Social Club.

Yep, not a fan of this first one, actually I HATE it! That yellow card stock screams 'YUCK!' to me but I was desperately low on card stock so thats the best I could find in my stash. Yikes!

OK so maybe Im biased but these lil guys are just the cutest! especially when they and friends and not arch enemies. They do really love each other see. Now I have the proof. LOL!

Im kinda enjoying the whole card making thing at the moment. I never thought Id say that but its true.

I think 'keep it simple stupid' works for me, at least where cards are concerned.

And another.Actually I made 3 but my sewing machine ate the last one so it found a new home in the bin. It was beyond saving. Boo hoo!

In case you hadn't noticed yet I LOVEEEE to make wall hangings and when I was sent this MDF album from WOW i knew that, that is exactly what I wanted to do with it. This first one is for Master Tys and Im thinking that just maybe Ill put his name on it to hang on his bedroom door.

I have one in the pipe line for Master J too. Ill share that when its finished.

Heres a girly one just cause I had the most beautiful MY CREATIVE SCRAPBOOK kit screaming at me to get used!

These are sooooo addictive and the best thing is that because you get 4 pages in an album so can make loads. Great presents for birthdays or Christmas.

Make sure you ask your LSS to order in some WOW hot air balloons if you want to make one too.

Here are my last 2 Los for Morning Side drive from THE POLKA DOT PLACE.

This first one is all about my favourite mug, given to me by my good scrappy friend Leanne Jago.

My morning wouldnt be complete with out a coffee in my favourite mug!

This next and final LO is all about Pauls youngest sister Emily. Isnt she beautiful! She is absolutely gorgeous inside and out and we all adore her especially Tyson and Jedd.

Heres a close up of the flower I made with the crape paper included in the kit. Im pretty sure that Bridge will be including instructions on how to make this flower with each kit purchased along with some sketches and a few other tutorials from the rest of the talented team.

On a sad note I have resigned from 2 Design Teams this month WOW and SCRAP THAT BABY and

unfortunately next month is my last month of my term with WHITE WITH 1 and I have decided not to reapply.

As sad as it is to say good bye Im hoping that now Ill have more time for Lil Red Rocket and for the family and the big BIG changes we have up ahead!

Brown Bears big adventure!!

Heres another share for THE POLKA DOT PLACE using the gorgeous Morning side drive kit.

This kit is nearly sold out so if you'd still like to purchase one you'll need to be quick.

This is a page all about Tyson's favourite Teddy 'Brown Bear'

Brown bear is such a special teddy and has been cuddled and loved by lots of kids as he was a second hand bear when he came to live with us.

Tyson took to him instantly when he was given to us by a friend of my Mums when his previous owners had out grown him.

As you can see from the journaling he went on a great adventure all the way to Tyson's Kindy for the

teddy bears picnic.

At the picnic Brown Bear was treated to some delicious home made carrot cake a few turns on the slide, some small talk with the other lucky teddies, a piggy back from Tyson on the walk to and home from Kindy and of course countless cuddles from the proud and happy aforementioned little boy!

What an ADVENTURE!!

Morning Side Drive release.

THE POLKA DOT PLACE kit Morning side drive is on sale YAY! So here are a few of my LOs.

Bridget is releasing previews of all the DTs stunning work over the course of the week. Just to tease LOL!

So, I do have more LOs but Ill share them with you later in the week.

This kit is very pretty but the B sides are also great for your boy pages but, I found those pretty paper to good to resist so, alot of my LOs for this kit feature myself or facts about me.

First up I apologise for the terrible photo. It was really over cast on the weekend so they are not the best.

This is my example LO for the exclusive Polka Dot Place sketch that I created below.

This kit is really gorgeous and very generous I got 5 LOs easily out of this kit and I think I could actually manage 6 if I wanted.

Morning Side Drive sneaks.

Just popping by to share with you a few sneaks of the beautiful new kit for March called Morningside Drive by The Polkadot Place. Due for release tomorrow.

Such a gorgeous kit and so generous. So far I have 4 pages completed with LOADS of left over product for later.

Ill also have a sketch and a' how to' that Ill be sharing with TPP fans this month.

On the blogging front, you may have noticed that Ive given this place another make over.

Sorry to keep changing it but I think Ive finally settled on a background that fits my header and that Im happy with. Ive also made myself a new signature (see below) and a Thank you image at the very bottom of the page. Now thats commitment for ya LOL!

Yep, thats what this little guy is!

This LO is for the current March Color Challenge over on the Crate Paper blog.

Im a huge Crate Paper fan and I adore this colour combo and challenge set by the very talented Lucy Edson.

OK sorry if your not into close ups but, this one has lots of little details so, I just thought Id share some.

I have made the kraft butterflies myself. I used some free children's colouring in pages which I found on the web. I down loaded the images and pasted them onto a word document so that I could re size them to the exact size I wanted and then I just printed them out onto kraft card stock.

I have also done the same with the round label which is a vintage image I found on The Graphics Fairy blog.

The largest pattern paper butterfly was made by printing out the colouring page image and then cutting around it to make a template. Trace onto some Crate Paper pp and there you have it.

OK, now just before I go I thought Id share a little secret.Lately Ive had a lot of lovely compliments about my photos. Thank you!

So, I thought it was time I revealed my secret. Im by no means the world greatest photographer however, I do have a good camera and I think that is half the battle especially when it comes to the kids.

They dont often stand still long enough to get the 'perfect shot'.

Above you can see my before and after photos.

See just a so-so photo to begin with and not perfectly focused.

Ive used PICNIK to edit this picture to make it really 'pop'. I do use the premium version which you do need to pay for but its very inexpensive and totally worth it.

Im a big fan of the 'touch up' feature and find that if you use the eye bright and then the mascara brush over the details on the face you can bring alot more definition back to the finer features and it make the photo look alot more 'in focus'.

It does take a little bit of practice but I think you will be happy and surprised with the results and its easy to use if your a bit Photo Shop phobic.

I made cards!

I know, WEIRD huh? I'm by no means a card maker actually I suck at making cards but I wanted to challenge myself to do better.

I had so much beautiful left over product from my DT packs from last month that I thought Id put it to good use rather than add it to the ever growing pile of scraps in my stash.

The one above is made using the Echo Park Line "Be Mine"

These 2 are made using Cosmo Crickets "Circa 1934" line. Yep, still not sick of it.

Ive also used some of my decorative tape as an accent to frame the ribbon and ric rac

as I wanted to create some thing to play along with the current MOXIE FAB challenge.

I decided that Id take a close look at some of my favourite card makers blogs and try to work out why it is that I cant make cards to save myself.

I discovered that I like a simple card with strong design elements and a focus on beautiful embellishments.

So I set to work with that in mind and here is the result.

Who knows I may even get to like this card making thing.

White with 1 for March

Back again. Sorry I really hate to post twice in one day but today Im going to make an exception.
So to state the obvious its March and boy am I glad.

February was a really awful month started out OK but didn't end so well but, I digress. Your here for the scrappy stuff right?

Well here is my DT example for WHITE WITH 1 for March.

You may have guessed that the palette is bright pink and white (of course) and the other requirement is artisan shapes which I almost forgot about so I snuck that little one in at the last moment. OOOPS!

Now Im not biased but that cake there was seriously the yummiest wedding cake I have ever had.

Its true, ask any one who went to my wedding. It was worth getting married just for the cake. LOL.

I thought Id pop by and share with you some sketches today to give you some ideas for some great challenges this month.

So I made this little wall hanging using some of my DT pack from HANDMADE BY SUZANNE.

This was actually an old place mat you know the MDF sort with the cork on the back.

I love turning these things into plaques.

Lots of cutting and machine stitching on this one to try to replicate a patch work effect.

All Cosmo Cricket Circa 1934 papers and pearls and droplets are available from

I know Ive said it 100 times before but I love these droplets/pearls they are really inexpensive and you can use them to make your own flourishes like Ive done here.

I still have more Circa 1934 to play with and even thought it was included in 2 of my DT packs this month Im still not sick of it yet. Actually I bought myself some more yesterday. Yep Im hooked. I LOVE this range.

Heres a few LOs created with my DT pack from HANDMADE BY SUZANNE this month. I was lucky enough to receive the beautiful Circa 1934 range from Cosmo Cricket.

These 2 LOs are fairly simple as I found that these papers were great for masculine LOs so I didnt want to fuss it up too much.

Heres a close up of the wooden flourish by Kaiser Craft (available from Handmade by Suzanne) Ive just added some black and red pearls and coloured part of it with my sharpie pen.

Im not sure how well it shows up in the photo but the card stock on this one is a glitter cardstock by American crafts more Circa 1934 and some Jenni Bowlin alphas all available from
HANDMADE BY SUZANNE.

I loved cutting up these papers to make my own layerd flowers, so much fun and great to add some dimention. Just add some Kindy Glitzs Pearls from Handmade by Suzanne and there you have it.

Happy Valentines day!

Im not one for commercial gifts and things but I do like to let my special some one know how much I love him and so my share for today is just a simple little Valentines card that I made for my wonderful husband and I hid it in his lunch box today.

This card was made using some paper from Cosmo Crickets Circa 1934 which was part of my DT pack from HANDMADE BY SUSAN.

So here it is my exciting news

I was asked to be a Guest DTer for February over at MY CREATIVE SCRAPBOOK.

I was sent a BEAUTIFUL kit to scrap with.

Now because we have a severe lack of girls in this house hold I thought id ask my good buddy LEANNE if I could scrap a photo for her of her gorgeous little girl Miss Ivy. Isnt she adorable and what a beautiful photo.

White with 1 for February

I love the start of a brand new month because it means great fresh new challenges.

This is my CT layout for White with 1 for Feb.

The criteria this month is white, brown and vintage.

This is about as vintage as I get, lots of vintage bits and pieces thrown on here just for good measure.

This palette is really easy and fun to work with and the bonus of such a neutral palette is that it should compliment just about any colour photo you want to use.

Ive had a bit of fun altering these photos of Master J just to give them more of that vintage feel.

I hope you will join in the challenge at WW1 this month there are great prizes up for grabs again and the CT has some beautiful examples to share HERE.

There havent been a lot of close ups recently so Im going to remedy that now.

I thought Id post my 4th LO for this month made using my HANDMADE BY SUZANNE DT pack including the stunning Hollywood Vogue range from Websters Pages.

I cant get enough of these gorgeous little pearls, droplets and Glossy Accents also from

HANDMADE BY SUZANNE and I thought they would be perfect teamed with some sequins.

Im always inspired by how the very talented Steph Devlin uses digital images on her LOs so, Ive incorporated more hybrid elements (butterfly, peacock, chair and peacock feather) on this LO.

I love the way you can use hybrid scrapping to personalise a LO by picking elements that compliment the papers.

Ive also tried to pick up some colours that fit in with The Color Rooms palette this week.

Ive tried to emulate a few of my favourite scrappers styles this week but I really wanted to try and outline all my hand cut elements a little like the amazingly talented Emma Trouts style.

I don't think Ive managed to pull it off too well but it was fun to try. TFL.

OK now this is quite possibly the girliest LO I have ever made LOL.

It was good fun to get back in touch with my feminine side. I dont get to do girly pages often so I had fun.

I was lucky enough to be sent in my DT pack from Handmade by Suzanne the stunning Hollywood Vogue range by Websters pages.
Just to prove to you thats its not only girly LOs that can be created from this range I thought Id do a more masculine LO with some of the B side papers.
There's a bit more hybrid scrapping going on here with some images I purchased on line then printed and cut out (bird and fern leaf) as I was inspired by all the beautiful elements found on the always gorgeous Websters Pages.
The Alphas are also Websters and some of the flowers, the lace, droplets and the Martha Stewart deep edger punch (my favourite) are also from HANDMADE BY SUZANNE.
This LO was made using the fantastic sketch by this months Guest designer Samantha Hauzer.
I hope youll pop by HERE and have a go.

Now heres a project for WOW. This bus album was super cute. Lots of room for lots of school photos and journaling.

I cant help but be impressed with the quality and range of WOW products and this MDF album is no exception.

Ive got another album in the pipe line so I look forward to sharing that when it is done.

Yes we are fine. Thank you to every one who has left messages worried about our safety.

I am so grateful that all my scrappy friends are safe and well too. It has been a very worrying time.

Luckily we moved from Brisbane just before Christmas. Our old house was effected by the floods to what degree we are still unsure but we are safe here in our new home on the Sunshine Coast so we are very grateful.

I want to say so much about how the Queensland floods have made me feel but to be honest I am at a loss for words.

I just feel so incredibly sad for every one whom has been effected that I just cant begin to express it.

I watched the tv for the ongoing reports for 3 days solid. bearly able to tear myself away as I think the magnitude of it all was too great to take in.

My heart aches for all those people whom have lost property, work places, businesses, pets, live stock but most of all loved ones.

So needless to say my mojo has left me and I have found it incredibly hard to be creative.

I will have some thing to share soon if your interested so stay tuned.

Hi again. I just wanted to share a few LOs that I have completed for WOW using some of their AWESOME chipboard titles.

I really cant rave on enough about WOW products. They are so beautifully made and so much fun to use and alter.

For this first LO I have covered the title in dimensional magic and then antique glitter glass YUM!Thanks Gilly and Nay for the inspiration.
Sorry for the terrible photo, its been raining A LOT!!

This next LO also features a WOW chipboard title.

Its a little difficult to pick up here but Ive given it a light spray with my home made glimmer mist and its got a bit of green and gold shimmer to it, then Ive just doodled on it to keep in with the comic theme.

Lastly this is just a sneak. Ill post the entire thing in Feb.

I had some fun playing around with some new texture overlays on this photo of Master J.

I love the effect, great for turning those meeh photos into some thing a bit special.

OK well today is the last day of 2010 and its been a pretty good year really but Im ready 2011.

Posting your fav LOs for the year thats almost done seems to be the thing to do and I think a good way to bring in the new year. So Here we go in no particular order 10 of my favs from 2010.

Just one share today. I have more LOs and an OTP but Ill save them for another day.

This LO is for WOW using one of the GORGEOUS chipboard titles they make.

WOW chipboard is so beautifully detailed and so much fun to work with.

On this one Ive given it some colour in a random fashion with a blue and a yellow stamp pad. Its hard to pick up the detail but it looks almost like opal with the green, blue and just that hint of yellow all mixed up together.

To finish off Ive covered it in a thick coat of Glossy Accents.

Hello again. Yep Im back, I would have been sooner but our useless internet service provider (who will remain nameless) disconnected our internet only a day after it had been installed.

Any how enough of that.

Sorry I wasn't around to wish every one a Merry Christmas. I hope every one had a lovely Christmas.

We have had a very eventful December with moving house, 2 birthdays,

Christmas and a broken collar bone.

Yep Jedd has broken his collar bone. To be honest we don't actually know when, exactly hes such a trooper he hasnt complained once and is still running around like a regular crazy two year old.

But we've had the x rays and yes it is most definitely broken clean through, poor baby.

So The trampoline from Nan and pop for Christmas will have to wait until it is healed. 3- 4 weeks the doctor says.

But, you may be wondering whats with the picture^ well, thats my new camera and guess what.......

I won it........ from The Scrapbook Awards, see 2 posts below. YAY!

I must say i was pretty darn happy and as much as I love my SLR it just doesn't quite squeeze in the ol' hand bag so this new one is fantastic!!

I do have some scrapping to share but just not quite yet so Ill be back with that soon but on the scrappy front Im proud to announce that I have signed on for another term as a sketch designer with Creative Scrappers so Im really excited about that.

Im also totally excited about my new scrap room. I have no storage yet and most of my supplies are just in boxes on the floor but my room is really big and couldn't be more perfect so when Ive got it just the way I want it ,Ill share some pictures with you all.

WW1 for December.

Hello there. Long time no see. Well Im finally back in the land of the living and thought Id pop by and share my CT LO for WHITE WITH 1 for December.

The criteria is white (obviously) grey and masking. It might sound scary but its surprisingly easy and a really fun challenge.

We were blown away with the volume and quality of last months entries.

It was sooooo difficult to pick the winners.

So, where have I been? Well we made the move from Brissy back to the Sunshine coast and we have been staying with family while we look for a new house.

Then I had a little accident involving the lap top and a cup of tea. DOH!!!!!

Luckily every thing was fine and it was able to be saved but, it we were seperated for a while. BOO HOO.

So, now we have found a house and a nice Kindy for Tys in a beautiful spot and we move in this Friday.

The house is nothing flash, an old Queenslander with lots of character (interpret that as you will) but it has a great yard for the kids a veggie patch for Paul and a scrap room all of my very own YAY!!

Ive got lots to share when we get settled including some DT stuff for WOW and some very exciting news in the New Year.

OK I think thats all Ill try not to be such a stranger from now on. TFL.

Hi there every one. Sorry Ive been AWOL. We are busy packing up to move house and although I have still managed to find some time to scrap I don't have any thing quite finished yet so I still cant share.

Lots of catching up to do!

Yep Ive been a bad,bad blogger but, in my defence I have been separated from my beloved lap top for a little while now so, time to catch up.
This first page is for a new challenge blog called GET PICKY. I almost always use multi photos now so I couldn't resist having a go at their sketch this month and it was a lot of fun.
These are pictures I scrapped a long time ago. Actually these photos where the very first photos I ever scrapped when I started scrapping 4 years ago.
Well I wasn't a serious scrapper then and would have only completed about 6 LOs a year I guess, if i was lucky.
Ive only been a serious scrapper for almost 2 years, any way as you can image the original was pretty BAD!
If I get brave one day maybe Ill show you. hehehe.
Any way this is Paul and our first baby Kaiser. Not a day goes by that we still don't miss this big fella and he really was the most perfect dog ever.

I cant have a post with out close ups. Yes my love affair with Glossy accents continues.

And then there's this little guy. Isnt he adorable!!. He is made by WORDS OR WHATEVER and when I saw him I knew he'd be perfect for this page.
I really liked his raw chipboard colour as I thought it mixed well with the tones in the pattern papers so Ive left him raw out lined him in dark brown texta , gave him some shadows with my favourite grey marker then added some detail with my fine liner black pen, coloured his tongue and gave his cheeks a rosy glow with red texta then finally yep you guessed it more glossy accents for his nose and tongue.

Now onto something so amazingly beautiful and special that my wonderful and talented friend made me.

I cant tell you how blown away I was when this arrived by mail for me yesterday. I really am lucky and very blessed to have a friend that cares enough to make me such s stunning piece of art and I am so happy and proud to have this beautiful LEANNE original hanging on my wall. I love every little bit of it and I cant stop looking at it.
Even Paul said WOW thats AWESOME when he saw it and thats a big deal coming from my husband. LOL.
So THANKYOU Leanne you are such an amazing friend and I will treasure and love it forever.

Now just before I go I also wanted to tell you about my new DT position over at WHITE WITH 1.
I almost fell off my chair when i received an email asking me if Id like to join the design team.
Of course I said YES!! hehehe.
Its a fantastic concept and the rest of the DT are very talented and inspiring scrappers so, I hope you'll find the time to check it out and play along from time to time.

Shining light and a sketch.

As Ive mentioned in earlier posts, Im Guest DT this month at my new favourite place to shop and Forum HANDMADE BY SUZANNE and I was lucky enough to get a chance to play with the delicious Sea side range by October Afternoon.
Suzanne also asked me if Id like to design a sketch for the October challenge. Well I love designing sketches so of course I jumped at the chance.
So as you can see above is my example using my yummy goodies from Suzanne and below is the sketch I designed.

Finally the close up of one of the beautiful stickers in the Sea side range. Ive just added some shading to represent the light from the light house and to make it tie in with my title a little better.

Yep been scrapping again. This is a 'just because' page. Just because I couldn't wait to get stuck into all that GORGEOUS Restoration range by Crate paper. YUM, YUM!!
Well this page didn't turn out half as fabulous as it looked in my head but, you get that some times.
Now if your a regular here you'll know there will be LOTS of close ups to come but, if your not I apologise in advance.
OK, here goes............................

Its been a while since I added a butterfly so I thought That little bit of dimension they add would be perfect.
This beautiful lace was originally white but, I decided to tea dye it to compliment the colours in the papers.

MMMMMMM Scrapmatts Key and some bakers twine. Just made for each other.

And lastly this is one of my fav photos of Master Jedd. Ive done a little bit of editing to give it more of a grungy look so it fits in with the papers.
He can be a very intense little boy at times and this photo portrays that pretty well I think.

I have more YUMMY Sea side to share today. All part of my GDT pack from
HANDMADE BY SUZANNE.
This range is so super gorgeous that I think Im gonna need to get me some more mmmmm.
OK, so this first LO is called SEALed with a kiss for obvious reasons.
Ive been wanting to scrap this series of photos for a while now but just couldn't find the right papers.
When I saw this range and that sticker I just knew that they couldn't be any more perfect for these photos.
Its great to get them scrapped finally.

Just a couple of close ups today. More Glossy accents, so much fun I just couldn't resist. Also available from
HAND MADE BY SUZANNE.

The stickers in the Seaside range are so AWESOME!!. I have layered the seal on top of the beach ball and added some shading with my grey marker again.

Not quite so much going on in this one. I find myself looking at it and wanting to add something but, it got the thumbs up from the Mr so, I think Ill leave it.

More yum stickers and glossy accents.

My anchor.

It may seem like an odd title but this little boy really is just like my anchor. He keeps me grounded when life gets crazy and I loose my perspective.

He reminds me that its the little things that are the most important, like finding time to listen to his stories , play puzzles read him books or just enjoy the funny, adorableness that is Tyson.

I was lucky enough to be asked to be Guest Design Team member for Hand made by Suzanne this month and Suzanne sent me the SUPER YUMMY Seaside range by October Afternoon.

You may or may not know that I am OAs biggest fan. They are my absolute fav so I couldn't wait to get my hands on this range and so far Im not disappointed.

This is just my first play so there will be more to come soon.

OK on to the close ups. Lots of close ups.

Mmmmmm Ranger Glossy accents used to make bubble or water droplets and my new Martha Stewart Deep edger punch, my newest and most favourite scrapbook tool. LOVE IT!

Both the glossy accents and punch are also available at Hand made by Suzanne.

That Maya Road envelope was so devine I really wanted to make it a feature so I have used it to mount my photo.

I know I just recently scrapped this photo but its a fav and this is the colour version.

The Thickers were from my own stash and Ive just sanded the edges to give them a rustic, sea side look.

Ive also used more Glossy accents on the Anchor sticker to make it more of a feature and added some shading with a grey marker so it enhances the 3D effect.

I used to do LOTS of mosaics before the boys came along and all those chipped tiles, glass and messy grout just become to hard to use with a baby and toddler under foot so, I have a bazillion of these glass stones in my craft stash. I knew they'd come in handy again one day.

The anchor again and some of my home made glimmer mist.

Im enjoying messing around with a bit of digital scrapping at the moment and these are so much fun to make.

The first SCRAP THAT BABY challenge is up for the month. Prompt 14 is Head, shoulders,knees and toes and here is my example.

Finally we reach the end. I knew that baby foot punch would come in handy one day hehe.

Im really pleased how this page turned out but how could you ever go wrong with Websters.

Their papers are so beautiful and so easy to use.

Im feeling a little tried today as I had plans to scrap but instead I stayed up waaaaaaaaaaay to late playing with some digital scrapping, making a new 'out for publication' sign for the Lil' Red Rocket blog.

Its another wet miserable day here and I have a mountain of washing to catch up on. Thank goodness for my tumble dryer.

I really liked the look of the sketch at KRAFT IT UP! for October and thought I'd get stuck in early with some challenges this month.

Jedd is such a Daddy's boy and these photos are some of my favourites of the 2 of them together.

Both the boys just love spending time with their Dad and its no secret that Paul loves it too.

How yum is that paper range from Girls Paperie that my lovely friend GILLY gave to me.

I thought that they were perfect for a masculine page so Ive tried not to 'fuss it up' too much.

I do find myself looking at it and wondering if it needs something though. hmmm not sure.

Well I cant make it to the Roctreat this weekend as we have a late afternoon family thing for Jedds Birthday so, to all my wonderful, funny, crazy friends I hope you have a fabulous time tonight Im sure there will be lots of LBL. Ill be scrapping along with you all in spirit. XX

Well, he is even if I do say so myself and yesterday this lil' guy was 2 whole years old.
Where has that time gone. It seems like just yesterday we brought Master J home from the hospital.
His Daddy fussing with the baby seat to make sure it was fitted 'just right'.
His Mummy fussing about wether he needed a jacket or if he was warm enough and his not so big brother 'checking out' this weird little person and wondering how many fingers he could fit in his tiny eye sockets. LOL.
Those pictures are of our little birthday boy when he was about 8 months old, but we think hes still just as 'cute'.

OK so, I only have sneaks to share today but Im hoping to get stuck into some scrapping tonight.

This LO is for something fun happening over at Lil' Red Rocket for our 1st birthday celebrations next month.

October is a month full of birthdays over at Lil' Red Rocket because its also Leanne and my birthdays so YAY!!!

Ill be back with the entire LO after October 1st.

I have been super busy making my own glimmer mists. I love the way they have turned out the colour is very intense a they are really shimmery. YUM.

So far Ive made orange green and the funkiest electric blue colour.

Im the kind of gal who buys expensive products like glimmermist and then never uses it because I don't want to waste it.

Well not now I been spraying stuff like a crazy lady this week end. LOL.

I think I must have saved myself about $30.00 at least so far.

Ive been wanting to make some for ages so thats one thing done on my 'to do' list.

Next is to make my own transparencies. Ive been collecting and altering digital images for a while now and so I hope to start that next week.

This^ was a lovely surprise this morning. Totally unexpected but very much appreciated I can tell you.
Im stunned that I mad the feature wall 2 weeks in a row. Im still smiling from last week so YAAAAY!!!
Ive been feeling a bit average this week. Ive had a mega head ache that just wont budge so this really cheered me up today and made my week.

Here is a little some thing that Master T made. Hope Ive got it up the right way hehe.
This is his first ever 12x12 scrapbook page, or magazine as he calls them (don't ask me why?). Not bad for a 3 year old.
Of course his father is mortified that he would show an interest in such things LOL.
He thinks fishing should be more the order of the day, but Tys has been bugging me to make a 'magazine page' for a while now so, there you have it. TFL.

Here's another LO for The Color Room.

Another yummy palette this week. I had used a very similar palette a few weeks ago (you may recall some sneaks a few posts back) and I LOVED that colour combo so much that I couldn't resist having a crack at The Color Room again this week.

So, this is Master T and he truly is a beautiful soul. No need for journaling on this one cause I think the title says it all.

Just a little bit more hybrid scrapping with the little frame that I altered and printed then coloured with my distress inks and hand cut.

There's a good mix of papers on this one. Cosmo, October Afternoon, Basic Grey, Crate Paper and some vintage music paper.

Lots more Prima (yes its an addiction now) and look no paint, shock horror but there is the trade mark butterfly LOL.

This is my entry for Kraft it up this month.

I wanted to try some thing more minimalist since my last LO (see post below) is maybe a bit OTT lol.

I Love really simple LOs but its not something Im very good at and Id love to do them better so here is my attempt a the minimalist look.
My Jeddy is such a funny boy. Hes our little risk taker, Evil Knievel eat your heart out.

He loves a bit of rough and tumble but at the same time he is very soft and affectionate and loves kisses and 'cuggles' (as Jeddy would say) with Muma and Daddy.

We are spoilt for gorgeous kisses and cuddles at the most unexpected and random moments and we LOVE it!
So yes he is gritty, gutsy and full-on at times but hes also a total softy so I thought the butterfly and doily paper was appropriate too.

OK Im going to try squeeze a few more challenges in while the shops shut so stay tuned

I am a big fan of The Color Room and I was lucky enough to have one of my LOs featured a little while back using a similar palette.

I LOVE this color combo, my 3 favourite colours to scrap with and so of course I couldn't resist having a go this week.

This is for palette 23. Ive used some Echo Park and some Sass papers and LOADS of Prima flowers.

Ive also used a few little digital doily frames which I purchased on line.

They were originally black but Ive just edited them to make them the perfect colours to compliment this palette then re-sized the images, printed and then cut them out.

I love the effect they give and I can edit the colour to suit any LO I want to add them to in the future.

Im really enjoying a bit of Hybrid scrapping, but I think I said that last time. LOL.
OK I think thats all I have to share today. Im hoping to get stuck into a few more challenges before the week is out so maybe Ill have more scrappiness to show you soon. Fingers tightly crossed. TFL.

Well sort of.

Here's a little something I made for my friend Chris. I hope you like it Chris and I hope you don't mind me posting it here first.

I LOOOOOVE making these little collages and I LOOOOOVE all the Halloween themed papers out at the moment.

Chris sent me the yum, yum, yummy Halloween range by Echo Park and I felt so inspired by this range that I couldn't wait to scrap a Halloween themed collage.

Ive used just a little bit of Echo Park on here a bit of Sass and some Cosmo.

I have used lots of digital images too and I must say I really enjoy a bit of hybrid scrapping.

So here it is Chris I hope you like it. Thank you Chris and it will soon be on its way to America!

Oh and before I head off I just wanted to brag about our GORGEOUS new blog over at Lil' Red Rocket.

A sad post..

Well Im still here, Ive just been really busy with Lil Red Rocket stuff.
I do have 2 new LOs but I cant share them yet cause ones for the Mystical CYBER CROP (Ill be back later with more about that) and the other one will be published later in the year on Scrapstreet.
But I refuse to go an entire week with out a post so I thought Id tell you a little about whats been happening in the Easily Distracted house this week so far.
Some sad new first.

On Sunday be lost our beautiful B. Unfortunately she had a rather violent death.
Dear little B was happily playing in her cage on the back deck enjoying some fresh air and sunshine when a nasty old butcher bird decided that she looked rather tasty and grabbed her by her toe and tried to pull her out of her cage through the bars.
Well he didn't get her but he did make off with one of her toes and so consequently the shock killed her.
Poor little B we are all sad and miss her and her cheerful singing terribly.

Paul and the boys buried her under a shady tree in our back yard and Tys has been leaving flowers by her head stone daily, ever since. Tyson keeps asking when she will wake up. So, its been a very sad start to the week.

And while we are on the subject of fur (or in this case feathery and scaly) friends, I thought Id introduce you to
Big Baz.

Basil lives in our garden and he is a VERY big boy. Hes over a meter long and very cheeky.

Hes fantastic company When I sit on the back deck and make buttons or scrapbook and he likes to share my lunch. As you can see.

He waits patiently at the bottom of the steps and nods his big fat head at me til I throw him some food. LOL.
We all love him but I think Jeddy loves him most cause Jedd is obsessed with Dinosaurs and tells me 'Badil a dinsaur'. Very Cute.

A few months ago Sara from Stuck Sketches asked me if I would be interested in completing a sketch as a guest design team member for their birthday celebrations.

Of course I was thrilled to be asked and said YES! Thanks Sara.

Sara sent me the most fabulous sketch and when I saw it I knew exactly which papers to use.

My lovely friend Chris sent me the 'Sweet Summer time' range all the way from America and I thought it was perfect for this photo and fabulous sketch.

What would a post here be with out a close up or two. Here Ive used a Lil' Red Rocket button for the center of this sun/flower.

I love all the pin wheels on this range. Super cute. Heres some Ive layered to give them a little bit more dimension.

Now time for my toot.

For a little while now I have been designing sketches whether they be by paper or pixel and I really enjoy the process, its a good way to get all those ideas out of my head and onto a sketch plan.

With some encouragement and prompting from the lovely KIM I decided that maybe I should have a go at the Creative Scrappers sketch artist call.
Well guess what I got through YAAAAAAAYYY!!

I hope you will all find some time to stop on over and have a go, its an AWESOME sketch challenge blog, you will love it, if you haven't already found it.
My term starts from October and I cant wait.

Now I don't have any new LOs to share today but I will be catching up with a whole bunch of scrappy pals for Renee's birthday crop tomorrow so Im sure ill have some thing new to share soon.

Go Baby Go!

OK Im just popping by quickly because Im determined that today wont be one of those 'headless chook' Mondays, although they usually are.

I try and cram so much into a Monday that I cant think straight again til Wednesday, well NOT today.

But I did want to share this with you.

Here's my latest LO its the first one for my new DT stint over at SCRAP THAT BABY.

Its promp 11 "step by step'.

So the challenge is to scrap those very important miles stones like, rolling, sitting up, crawling, walking dancing. You get the idea.

It was my turn to set my sketch challenge for August at MYSTICAL and here's my example.
I decided to use more papers from my DT pack. October Afternoon 'Cherry Hill'
Well Ive never been a fan of red and green together, it always looks too 'Christmasy' to me.
I avoid this colour combo altogether as a rule, even on Christmas LOs.
I don't have a colour phobia about any colours I love and use them all but I do have a problem with certain combos. Some just make me cringe and this one was no exception.
Its good to step out side the box some times and I couldn't resist that apple paper so I just kinda went for it.
It still screams 'Christmas' to me but its growing on me.

or three, especially when it includes one of my new LIL RED ROCKET 'Apple' buttons.

and while I was up til the wee hours of the morning finishing this page I found these AWESOME stamps on Etsy and well, yes I couldn't resist and I bought them.

I know a scrappy pal who's gonna want to borrow these at our next crop and you know who YOU are. Hehehe.

Which reminds me can I just say how super excited I am to be catching up with all my scrappy buddies next week for RENEES birthday crop. YAY!

I hope my scrappy roll last til next Saturday.

I was lucky enough to receive the paper range 'Cherry Hill' by October Afternoon for my MYSTICAL DT pack this month and I couldn't wait to get stuck in.

Here's the first LO 'Nana Hugs'.

These pictures are of my Mum with my cute little nephew Ryder. These photos were taken about 4 years ago and Ive always loved them. Such a tender, stolen moment.

Ive added lots of my own embellishments to this one, lots of flowers and doilies.

Doilies big and small are from FRESH VINTAGE CRAFTS and the doily trims are from SIMPLYCARDSBYCHAN.

I just cant seem to do a LO with out doilies and paint flicks at the moment.

Ive also been working on a little mixed media for a friend and I need to make a heap of cards, so I guess Ill be back with more 'Cherry Hill' soon. TFL.

Finally I have a LO to share. This one is for the current prompt on SCRAP THE BOYS.

The challenge was to use flowers on your LO.....ahhh yep I think I got that one covered.

OK, OK I may have gone a little overboard with the whole flower thing but I am absolutely LOVING using flowers on my boys LOs atm and my flower stash is growing bigger and bigger each week so why not go a little crazy?

Im not loving this LO cant quite put my finger on what exactly is wrong with it.

I guess maybe its a little unbalanced, but hey aren't we all sometimes? LOL.

Thats it for today. Lots of ideas for LOs buzzing around my little head but nothing down on paper yet.

I just thought Id stop by and show you what Ive been up to today. Just messing about with some photo editing.

I had an idea late last night (thats when I get all my best scrapbook related ideas hehehe) and couldn't wait to get up this morning and have a play with some photos of Master J.

I love this photo of Jedd in his overalls and Ive been wanting to scrap them for ages but the light wasn't the best and they needed some editing so I thought I may as well have some fun with them and here's the result.

Cant wait to scrap them now. Not exactly like ^this but you get the idea.

Oh and just in case you were wondering the overalls were originally navy blue. TFL.

Yep Ive been designing a few sketches. I have set a sketch challenge over at Mystical for the cyber crop tomorrow night and I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for so I decided to have a crack at making one myself.
Its not this one but Ill show you the Mystical one after Friday.
This one ,I just made for a bit of fun. What'd ya think?

Ive also been doing a bit of this^. Just a sneak today because its not finished.
Thanks to Moira for the gorgeous ribbon that she sent me in a RAK. I knew the minute I saw it that it was perfect for this page.
Im still 'getting to know' this page. I don't love it yet but maybe once its got a title on there it might all come together. MAYBE?
Well Im off to finish my washing in the BRAND, SPANKING NEW washing machine my AWESOME parents bought me YAY! Who'd of ever thought washing could be so much fun. hehe.
And then its on to more Lil' Red Rocket orders and packs for the DT girls. TFL.

Things have been CRAZY BUSY here so I haven't had much time for scrap booking and what I have done I cant share just yet but I can show you a sneaky of one of my recently completed LOs.

Ive been asked to complete a sketch as a guest design team member for one of the challenge blogs later this month but Ill tell you more about that closer to the date.................................

Where have I been?

No I haven't disappeared again. This ^ is what has been keeping me busy. Kinda hard to tell but this is a large shoe box filled to the brim with Lil Red Rocket orders.
I love to see them all packaged up, ready to go to their new homes.
It makes the sore fingers all worth it.
In case you didn't already know I make each set of buttons as the orders come in. I don't have many made in advance because I never know whats going to sell from one week to the next and the components and import fabrics are too expensive to waste.
So there you have it a little insight into the labour of love that is Lil Red Rocket and if you've recently placed an order you can be pretty sure its in there^ some where. TFL.

Well thats what his little guy is. I love him to bits and when I found these adorable angel wings I just knew they were made for this photo.
This LO is for my July challenge at MYSTICAL SCRAPBOOKS and also uses some of my Mystical DT pack for the month.
Donna sent me the Kioshi pattern papers by Basic Grey. I have to admit that I was a little worried when I first saw them because its very soft and girly. The back side of the papers are a little more masculine but still very different from what I would usually try.
Im always up for a challenge and so I decided to stick with the soft palette and just see what I could come up with.
Im quite pleased with the way it turned out

Im starting to find that some times it pays off to step outside of your comfort zone.

Anyway here it is 'Heaven Sent' with lots of close ups cause I do love a close up or 2 or 3.
Thanks everyone for your lovely comments on my past few LOs. You certainly make me feel very special and inspire me to try and keep improving with each new LO.

Im trying to cram as many challenges in to this month as possible because I REALLY miss them. Some times life and other commitments just get in the way and Im determined that this wont be one of THOSE months.So any way here is my LO for Scrap the Boys.
Its a little different to my usual stuff but I thought the photo and the journaling was important enough to keep it simple with out too many distractions.
So here it is, not completely sure about it but it was fun to do.
Im so glad that Scrap The Boys is back up and running.
Being a Mum of two boys Im sure its going to provide me with lots of inspiration in the future. TFL.

When I saw colour palette #14 on The color room this week I just knew I had to give it a go. Its an new colour combo fav I think.
Ive used a CHIPCHOPSHOP small bubble border, some SWEETVINTAGE doilies and a MY LITTLE BIT OF WHIMSY heart stick pin YUM!
Ive been a busy girl this week and managed to do a LO for the scrap the Boys challenge too.

Gum Boots.

The MYSTICAL SCRAPBOOKS 'Colours of Winter' Cybercrop is now in full swing.
Here is my example LO for my distressing Challenge.
One thing that always reminds me of winter is the kids in the back yard in their rubber boots or as Tys calls them 'Gum Boots'.
If these old boots could talk Im sure they'd have some stories to tell.
First they were Tyson's Cousin Ryder's, now they are Tyson's and Im sure one day soon they will be Jedd's.
Im sure they have had lots of adventures with some very busy little boys.
I love to take photos of the little things like shoes favourite toys or food, the boys hands, the special treasures they collect for me in the garden or the things they make.
Some times the images tell a story all of their own and bring back those important little memories too easily forgotten.
