My favourite niece

Here's a LO I made just cause.
I felt like doing something with paint and I thought it was about time I tried some thing more girly for a change.
Its OK I'm allowed to call her my favourite. So far she is my only niece and as far as I'm concerned shes the most beautiful little girl in the whole world.
You might be horrified to hear that that large flower was once white and I dyed it red with of all things food colouring. Well I was in a creative frenzy and had no red ink. LOL.
I'm sure its not acid free, but I try not too get hung up on that sort of thing too often.
I was really going for a more textured look for this one. Id still like to have got more texture but It looked finished to me so I thought Id better leave it alone.
OK that's my only LO share for today. Id best get off this computer and do some 'stuff'.
Its a nice breezy day today perfect for washing and drying freshly mopped floors and Ive got a few Etsy orders to fill.
I'm excited to say that I made my first few sales in my Etsy shop last night and my Mumbo Jumbo buttons were featured on the Madeit newsletter. Ive just finished loading a few new hair elastics on Etsy this morning too so If your interested you can check them out by clicking the link to my shop on the right hand side. Bye for now. TFL.

Out of the Hat November Challenge

Here's my entry for the November Out of the Hat challenge. The 3 elements this month were.....
use a die cut, which is the Kraft scallop paper behind my photo. 3 different size photos and a tree.
I made the tree myself. It was quite a bit of work, I must say. I used a punch to cut out all those little leaves. There must be hundreds of them.
I'm loving embellishment clusters ATM. and I have found some great shops on Etsy. I'm trying hard to resist the urge to buy more embellies. Its a daily struggle. LOL.
Any way that's really about it for now. I may have another LO of my favourite niece to share later. TFL.

Branching out.

Here is just a really small sample of the new hair elastics soon to be uploaded in my Etsy store HERE.
Ill upload most early next week. And Ill be adding new designs all the time.
Lil' Red Rocket hair elastics are all made with 'snag free' elastics and are securely attached to the buttons with out the need for any glue.
These little elastics will make a great stocking filler or a cute little gift for girls of all ages.
You wont find anything like these in the shops.
They will retail at $4.00 a set. I think that's a steal.
I can even make these with black or perhaps brown elastics if preferred. TFL.

Jedd and Ted.

Last month on SCRAPS OF US there was a competition to design a sketch and then the winning sketch would be given to the Design Team to create a LO with.
The winner was LG Belarmino and she created a great sketch. Its really interesting to see how each person interprets a sketch and each DT members LO is quite different to the next.
I can never stick 100% to a sketch I like to have a look at it and then work from the picture in my head and just kinda let it happen.
Any way here is my take. If you'd like to see the sketch and the other DT girls LO you can find them HERE on the SOU blog. TFL.

Sketch 15 on Scrap Your Heart Out.

Hello everyone. Here's my latest LO for the 'Scrap Your Heart Out' Challenge Group over on 'The Boxx'.
It was my turn to pick this weeks sketch because I won the challenge for week 13.
I chose a Becky Fleck sketch and here is my interpretation.
How cute is that little camera charm! I just love it. I purchased it from HERE My 2 Angels.
If you like using charms on your LOs I recommend you stop by and have a look . My 2 Angels have a fantastic range and lots of other great scrapbook products too.
OK that's all for now. Ill be back later with some more things to share. TFL.

A few new buttons.

I just wanted to share a sneak peek of some of my new buttons before I load them in my Etsy shop.
There will be yellow frogs and some brown squirrels coming soon too. The squirrels go really well with the new 'Nutmeg' pps by Cosmo cricket.
I just couldn't resist sharing these. I think they are so cute.
Now that Ive built my stock up a bit more I'm going to finally host my give away soon, so stay posted if you want to be in the draw to win some of my embellies.
These buttons will be available for purchase in the shop by the end of the week.
I'm also going to offer something extra at no charge for the first 5 customers to purchase something from my new shop.
If you are interested in having a look at the other buttons I stock just click on the picture on the right hand side.
I'm still new at this and the shop is pretty small but I have plans for some more embellishments and maybe some packs with different co-ordinating embellies. TFL.
