Mad About Scrappin Guest DT spot.

I am the Guest Design Team Member for 'Mad About Scrappin' for November.
Leanne sent me the 'Rusty Pickle' 'Pop Star' pack to create some LOs.
The perfect excuse for me to do some girly pages featuring my favourite niece.
Heres what I came up with.
These papers are so fun and funky and as you can see I have hand cut and coloured the paper on the Sweet Heart LO. The papers were originally black and white. It was just like being back at Primary school. LOL. So much fun.
This kit is one of the many fantastic 'Monthly Mad Kits' Leanne has released for November.
here is the link to the blog and here is the link to the shop. TFL.

My Boys

Hi again. Here is my latest LO. This one is for Round 2 in the Scraps Of Us design team competition. The Challenge was to create a LO about you greatest achievement and then to write a how to on a technique you used.
My technique is stamping with bleach. Ive done this on the panel down the right hand side of my LO.
My boys might seem like a pretty obvious thing to pick for my acheivement, but I do believe that giving birth to and raising these 2 cheeky little people is my greatest acheivement.
Ive been either pregnant or breast feeding now for almost 4 years solid.
Tys was breast fed for 13 months and Jedd now almost 13 months is still feeding. I would like to wean him before Christmas though cause hes showing no signs of wanting to give it up on his own and my poor old body needs a rest and Id like him to start sleeping through too. Something hes never done. Im usually up to him at least twice a night.
So you see I think thats my acheivement Im on call 24 hours a day. And I cant remember the last time I had a proper drink. I think it was Our honey moon. DOH!
I believe that we are all high achievers as mothers and we all deserve a pat on the back from time to time.
So to all you Mums. Well done. Your more important than any over paid CEO sitting in his swanky office in a high rise some where !
YOU are what keeps this world turning. You are raising the high achievers of the future. TFL.

Mother

OK, time for a LO share.................FINALLY. Its been over a month since Ive done any scrapbooking and Ive been suffering form withdrawals, sad I know. LOL.
Any how this LO is for the DT comp at Scraps of us. This is my round one entry.
The challenge was to scrap a LO about yourself but without any pictures. I must confess I had never tried that before, but it wasn't as difficult as I thought. Its was sort of liberating I guess (does that sound weird?)
I tried stamping on the Kraft CS with different coloured paints using various things with different size rims, that I found around the house.
I cut each circle by hand out of 'All Sorts' pp by 'Kaiser Crafts' and adhered them to the CS is a random pattern. I have also used some gorgeous and colourful SweetVintage doilies.
Then I doodled a border and added the verse.
I don't know who the author is but I can relate to the sentiment so I thought that explained a little about me.
I thought about writing random things about ME but I thought this poem was too perfect not to use and something a bit different.
Anyway that's my entry for round 1.
Please excuse my hand writing. I hate it but I'm trying to remember that in years to come my kids wont care how shocking my hand writing is, only that it was written by me and that makes it more personal so I hope my boys will appreciate that.
Anyway its a tough field. Heaps of talented ladies in this comp so wish me luck. I'm gonna need it!
I have just completed my first LO for MAD ABOUT SCRAPPING guest DT member for the month of November.
Leanne sent me some great paper and embellies to work with. I have completed the first LO and I'm starting the second when the kids are asleep tonight. I like the way the first one turned out. Totally different from anything Ive done before but I'm really enjoying pushing the boundaries and trying new stuff. It keeps me inspired to step 'Out side the box'.
I wont reveal them until next month when it goes on sale. So stay tuned.
heres the link to the MAD ABOUT SCRAPPING blog from there you can find the link to the shop. There is some great shopping to be done and Leanne is really friendly and has great monthly kits. My kit will be on sale next month.
I received my prize from my2angels yesterday. That's the prize I won for my Out Of the Hat LO 'Dream Big'.
I must admit I spent a bit extra but with so many yummy products to choose from, how could I resist?
I bought my very first glimmer mist. I'm behind the times I know. Cant wait to give it a go.
Looks like fun.
Anyway head on over if your looking for some fabo things and take a look at the charms. Super cute and a really good range.
Thanks Tracy for offering such a generous prize. Fantastic service and Ill be back to shop some more, for sure!
The big reveal for Lil' Red Rocket is coming up soon and I'm going to have a give away, so check back soon if you want to be in the running.
Just putting on some finishing touches.
WOW this post has turned into a bit of an epic. LOL. Sorry hope I haven't bored you. TFL.

All the kids together

Its been so nice to have all the cousins together again. I know Tys misses his big cousins a lot.
We've had a wonderful couple of days and their visit was over way too quick.
My Mum, sister, 86 year old Nan and my two handsome nephews and my beautiful little niece have all returned to Adelaide now.
I took these photos on Sunday. We had a lovely afternoon exploring the Roma street park lands in Brissy.
It was so nice to all be together again and sadly I realize how much my kids are missing out on not living closer to their cousins. They don't have any cousins her in Brissy and that makes me sad.
I guess that means we will have to make a real effort to travel down to SA when ever possible.
I had no idea that my Nan was coming, It was a total surprise but such a lovely one. I couldn't help but burst into tears when I saw her and then I couldn't stop laughing. I think I was in shock. ha ha.
Its the first time my Nan has ever even been on a plane. How special do I feel!
Anyway I just wanted to share these pics I took. I will treasure these photos of my kids with my sisters 3 until the next time I see them. They grow up way too fast.
Heres a poem that says it all......
Oh, tell me, please tell me, is there a trick
to get cousins to sit still, even real quick?
One giggles, one wiggles, one tugs on another.
One crawls, one tickles, then they pile on each other.
At the end of the day, when all's said and done,
taking pictures with cousins, is way too much fun!

OK this LO might look familiar. I'm posting it again because this was my entry in the September 'Out of the hat challenge' and guess what I won the public choice. WOW!
I could hardly believe my eyes when I read it HERE I had to go back and read it a couple more times just to make sure. LOL.
I love the fact that it was voted for by other entrants and followers, I consider it a huge compliment.
There were so many fantastic entries and a record number too. If you haven't had a look before you should pop over and check it out HERE.
There are some fantastic prizes up for grabs.
Octobers challenge is a doosie. But that's why they call it a challenge.
You may have noticed the blog make over AGAIN. Just to confuse you. Sorry Ive got to stop doing that.
I just couldn't settle on a background that I was really happy with. This new one is totally me.
If you've checked out my LOs you may have noticed that I like to use spots, stripes and lots of colour, so I'm loving this new background. I think its gonna stay for a while.
OK that's all for now. TFL.
